The White Stuff
It snowed in Nashville this weekend. It was only about an inch, but that's enough to make us gather our mismatched snow gear and head out for sledding!
We met the cousins and the kids made run after run down the hill behind our house. We knew all the snow would be gone by noon.
My nephew had a small snowboard so everyone got to take a turn on that.
The texture wasn't quite right for snowballs or snowmen, but it was good for flying!
I even got on long enough for a couple trips down the hill!
I don't think we went sledding at all the past couple years, so we made the most of this opportunity. Cold hands, thrilled kids, screams of delight and all!
So fun! The smiles on their faces are darling!ReplyDelete
Kids don't need much snow to find a reason to play and sled in it :0)
You're right, Suzanne! A dusting and they're clamoring to head outside!Delete
Sledding seems like so much fun! So glad you guys got to enjoy the snow while it lasted :)ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing
Thanks, Dani! They'll remember it for awhile, I think!Delete
Awww, what fun! We have so much of the white stuff I almost forget what kind of joy and fun can be had with it.ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a lovely day.
Absence does make the heart grow fonder when referring to snow! ;) It makes a difference in the level of enjoyment when it goes away by melting instead of shoveling!Delete
How fun! We haven't had any snow this year, surprisingly, but you won't hear me complaining. We didn't have any hills growing up at my parents house, so my dad would pull us around on a car hood. Not safe at all, but we had so much fun! :)ReplyDelete
That does sound like fun, Chelsea! I'm sure your mom was nervous. :)Delete
Fun! How awesome is sledding! My crew is anxiously awaiting snow, but I don't think that's going to happen this year for us.ReplyDelete
It's hard when the kids are really wanting it and it doesn't come. I don't think we'll get enough to sled again this year!Delete
We haven't had any snow this year, which is unusual for us. What a fun day!ReplyDelete
That is surprising, Lana! I pictured Seattle getting snow, for sure!Delete
We haven't had NEARLY as much snow this year as we normally do.....I really miss it :( Looks like you all had fun! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, we did! It's a treat when it doesn't come often. :)Delete
Looks like you had a great time! We just had a fresh batch of snow the last two days, so we're ready to go out in our mismatched snow gears as well. Thanks for sharing!ReplyDelete
That's great! I'm sure you'll have a blast. Mismatched snow gear is the way to go! :)Delete
That looks like great fun! I'm hoping we get a nice little dusting of snow this winter for the children to play in, but the UK is so rubbish it just grinds to a halt at the merest suggestion of snow!! xReplyDelete
Haha! That's how it is here too. This happened on a Saturday this time, but school would have normally been cancelled for sure!Delete
Oh my gosh my kids would love that! How fun! Our one little snow storm this month was not enough to sled in. Your kids are so cute :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Jennifer! Hopefully, you'll get one more chance for snow!Delete
Looks like a lot of fun!! We barely got enough snow to make anything other than mushy snowballs :) Which is still fun!ReplyDelete
Thanks for linking up on Tuesday Talk!
I think kids can find some fun in any amount of snow! :)Delete
We are on our second snow day in a row, and we barely had two inches. Here in Maryland, that's nothing. My son was bummed that he couldn't really play in it, but he should have been with your kids!ReplyDelete
Two snow days in a row, that's what my kids would be envious of! This happened on a Saturday so nothing was cancelled.Delete
We actually haven't made it sledging yet, but we have made snowmen and had lots of snow balls fights :) Might get the sledges out today!ReplyDelete
I saw the pictures of your snow, Sara! You'll be able to really go sledding with all that!Delete
Fab photos Marie and the kids look as though they're loving every minute. Dread having snow in the UK as it usually means that the entire country grinds to a halt and that isn't fun at all!ReplyDelete
Looks like a lot of fun!!! Even a little snow can make for fun sledding. :)ReplyDelete
Thank you for submitting to Motivation Monday!ReplyDelete
